At Hiboy, we stand behind the quality of our products. Our warranty policy ensures you have a hassle-free experience with your Hiboy electric scooter, e-bike, or accessory. Below are the details of our warranty coverage, terms, and conditions.
Warranty Coverage
Hiboy offers a 12-month warranty on all major electric scooter and e-bike models from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. This warranty is exclusive to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
What is covered:
- Frame: Defects in materials or workmanship.
- Battery: Performance issues, such as failure to hold a charge or significant degradation under normal usage conditions.
- Motor: Defects in the electric motor affecting the scooter's performance.
- Controller: Any faults in the electrical system that prevent proper function.
- Display/Throttle: Defects in the electronic display and throttle control systems.
What is not covered:
- Wear and Tear: Damage caused by regular usage, including but not limited to tires, brake pads, grips, and cables.
- Accidental Damage: Crashes, impacts, or any damage caused by user mishandling.
- Improper Use: Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications, as well as exceeding the product’s specified weight limits.
- Water Damage: Issues resulting from exposure to water beyond the product’s IP rating.
- Batteries After 6 Months: Degradation after 6 months of use, which is normal for all batteries.
Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
- Contact Customer Support: Reach out to our dedicated support team via email or phone to describe the issue. Be ready to provide your order number and product details.
- Submit Proof of Purchase: We will require your original proof of purchase to confirm eligibility.
- Product Inspection: If deemed necessary, you may be asked to send the defective item or part for inspection.
- Resolution: Once the issue is confirmed under warranty, Hiboy will offer the following resolutions:
Exclusions & Limitations
- Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for shipping costs when returning the item for warranty claims. Hiboy will cover the return shipping for confirmed warranty repairs.
- International Warranty: The warranty is valid globally but may vary depending on local laws. International customers are responsible for any additional duties or taxes.
- Misuse and Negligence: Any damage resulting from improper use, neglect, or failure to maintain the product in accordance with the provided user manual is not covered under warranty.
Battery Warranty Details
- 6-Month Coverage: Hiboy offers a 6-month warranty on batteries. After this period, the warranty does not cover natural battery wear, but defects in battery material or craftsmanship are still subject to review.
- Battery Life Expectancy: Battery performance will naturally degrade over time due to charge cycles. We recommend following best practices for charging and storing your battery to ensure longevity.
Extended Warranty Options
For extra peace of mind, Hiboy offers extended warranty plans. These plans allow you to extend your warranty coverage beyond the standard 12 months. Additional terms and pricing for extended warranties can be found on our website.
Warranty Claims for Accessories
- 1-Year Warranty: Accessories such as chargers, bags, and helmets come with a 1-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
- Not Covered: Damage due to accidental misuse, wear and tear, or neglect.
